SUMMARY :
Hotel Rwanda is a movie made in 2004 based on the Rwandan Genocide. It focuses on the life of Paul Rusesabagina and his family. Paul is a Hutu while his family and neighbors are all Tutsi. The Tutsi rebels killed the Rwandan president causing all Hutu's to set out to kill all Tutsi. Paul is the manager turnt leader of the Des Mille Collines Hotel. The hotel becomes the only safe place for the Tutsi's to go to escape a brutal death by the Hutus. The UN was there however, could do little to help. In the end, Paul and his family manage to save themselves and many others.
INACCURACIES :
In the Movie, someone says that there are no social differences between Huts and Tutsis, however there were differences.
Also in the movie, the UN leader told his men they were not allowed to use there weapons, although according to UN Mandate, they were.
ACCURACIES :
Paul was really the manager of the Hotel De Milles Collines.
All characters portrayed in this film were accurate.
The Rwandan Genocide really did occur.
